Hair has always been a part of my story, woven through my bloodline, my childhood, and my purpose. I come from a long line of beauticians. My grandmother Felicia was a stylist. My great-grandmother too. My father is a barber. I was raised in the salon, watching, learning, absorbing. Hair wasn’t just something we did, it was how we connected, how we nurtured, how we showed up for ourselves and our community.

So it was only natural that I became a licensed cosmetologist in 2014 and began sharing my love for natural hair with the world. Since 2015, my photos and videos have lived on mood boards and Pinterest pages, inspiring women to embrace their textures, big chops, and beauty. But something was missing: a product line made with the same intention and realness I brought to every head I touched.

That’s how NyzRoots was born.
